Children & Babies in Worship
Children and babies are always welcome in worship! Rocking chairs are available in the back of the sanctuary for nursing mothers or new parents. The back of sanctuary has a clear partition to reduce noise if you are worried that your child might be a distraction. However, we encourage you to sit wherever you feel most comfortable. We celebrate the noise, the fidgeting, the swinging of legs and the occasional giggle. Worship is meant to be full of life. Babies and children help to remind us of the beauty of life.
If you decide to have your child remain in worship instead of going to Sunday School or the nursery, we have age-specific activities available to your immediate right upon entering the sanctuary, in the Kids Worship Activity Shelves. If your child gets cold or just wants something to snuggle in, “Prayer Shawls” made by DCC members are also available in the Kids Worship Activity Shelves. Please let one of the Ushers know if there is anything you need while you’re joining us.
Traditional Worship Service
Kids in grade school & up are invited to join their parents in worship during the early (traditional) service. Age-specific activities can be found at the back of the room. Children and babies are always welcome in worship! Please let one of the ushers know if there is anything you need.
Contemporary Worship Service
At our late (contemporary) service, we have engaging, age-appropriate programming for kids and students, birth through 6th grade. Of course, your children are welcome to stay in worship as well. 7th-12 graders are welcome to help with our children’s large group stage presentation. Meet in room 2 off the playground!
