Stewards of God's Creation is a group of members and friends of DCC who, in response to God's love for us and for all creation, seek, both as a community of faith and as individuals, to restore and live in harmony with the earth and all living creatures.

Voluntary Gas Tax, the craziest tax you never heard of and the only tax where you choose where the revenues go!
If you have seen the damage caused by the Gulf oil disaster and wondered what you might be able to do to help, you many want to consider joining the Stewards of God's Creation in its Voluntary Gas Tax (VGT).   The voluntary Gas Tax is a campaign that grows out of the awareness that the society in which we live relies too heavily on petroleum products to the detriment of our environment, health and the quality of life in our communities.  The best past is that our group will decide where the money goes - funding organizations, both local and international, that work to offset the damage caused by oil dependence or that are working to break our oil habit.  Visit
http://www.voluntarygastax.org for more information.

Group meetings are the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7p.m. in the DCC Library.  All interested are welcome to attend.  Meetings include both fellowship and spiritual reflections related to earth stewardship, as well as work on action plans.   This Fall we are discussing readings from the book "Living from the Center:  Spirituality in an Age of Consumerism" by Jay McDaniel.
