Regathering for Worship at DCC

We gather in our sacred space on Sundays at 10 a.m. We are delighted to welcome you back to DCC after a very long time away. In the weeks and months ahead, things will continue to shift and we will keep you informed as we navigate this uncharted territory.

We will continue to offer a service online for those who cannot attend worship or are out of the area. A live broadcast is available on the Davis Community Church YouTube channel. The service may also be viewed at a later time following the conclusion of the service.

We are following Yolo County Health Department guidelines for gatherings and are likely to err on the side of extra caution in the months ahead. In order to attend worship, you will need to reserve seating; we will be planning carefully for socially distanced seating. Up to 63 people (plus the worship leaders) will be able to attend. Should there be sufficient interest, we will add a second service.

We Can’t Do It Alone!
In order to reopen, we need assistance with the check-in process and seating guests. If you can serve on our welcome team, please sign up in the registration form or contact Barbara Greene at or at (530) 902-1617. You will be asked to arrive early for a bit of training. Would you like to serve as a liturgist? Sign up here.

What You Need to Know
We will require that you are fully vaccinated in order to attend. People are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

If you are not fully vaccinated, you must test negative for COVID within 72 hours before attending a worship service or any event at DCC. We have been assured that you may test at Healthy Davis Together even if you are not a Davis resident, or at any testing site in your community. Make an appointment or simply drop by one of the four testing sites in Davis.

We will not require proof of vaccination or testing because we know you, dear congregation, are trustworthy.

The same vaccination or testing requirements apply to children and teens who might like to attend a worship service.

Welcoming Children Back
Our teachers and childcare providers are all fully vaccinated and will be masked.

There will be indoor Sunday School for 1st-6th grade in rooms 1 and 2 by the playground. Masks are required for these classes since they are indoors.
There will be outdoor childcare for children from birth to kindergarten on the playground with some basic lessons for children who wish to engage. Masks are not required outdoors for these little ones.

Any children or youth who wish to attend worship services must be fully vaccinated or receive a negative COVID test within 72 hours before entering the sanctuary. Alternatively, youth are welcome to help out in Sunday school classes during worship.

  • If your children or teens are attending the worship service, choose ADD ANOTHER REGISTRANT on the registration form. Register here.

  • If your children are attending Sunday School, simply list their names and ages at the bottom of the registration form. (They will not count toward the maximum number allowed in the Sanctuary.)

Check-In: Parents can sign in with their children between 9:40 – 9:55 a.m. The side door of the Sanctuary will not be in use; please enter the playground from the 4th street gate. There will be a sign-in sheet to fill out that includes your cell number so we can contact you if your child needs you.

Check-Out: After service, please come pick up your children through the 4th street gate and be sure to sign them out.
