    About our speakers, Stephen Herzog and Masako Toki:
    Stephen Herzog is Professor at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies at
    the Middlebury Institute in Monterey. He co-chairs the Beyond Nuclear Deterrence Working Group, a MacArthur Foundation and Harvard Project on Managing the Atom. He will discuss his recent research on how anti-nuclear weapons activism can both succeed and fail in influencing the U.S. public and government officials. 

    Masako Toki is a Senior Project Manager and Research Associate at the James Martin
    Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS). She will talk about the Critical Issues Forum to promote disarmament and nonproliferation education to high school students and
    teachers in the United States, Japan, and other countries.
