Centering Prayer is a practice of silent prayer and meditation based on the contemplative practices of early Christians. Individual responses vary and this prayer of the heart can be an enriching experience in opening up to God’s love. We will use Fr. Thomas Keating’s teaching as well as the expression of other modern-day mystics. This is a sample of a meditation provided last week by one of the members of the group. The groups enjoy two readings, taken from a variety of faith and wisdom traditions, followed by two periods of silent meditation. The sessions end with the John Philip Newell version of the Lord’s Prayer and a brief discussion. Join us online via Zoom: Join Zoom Meeting Meeting ID: 956 9465 6704 Passcode: CPGrounded You are invited to receive the weekly email, which contains the readings for the sessions. To be added to the list, please contact Susie O’Bryant at susieobryant@sbcglobal.net Free! All are welcome! We will teach you! We all learn as we go! Leadership rotates among the group members. Group members are invited to lead, but it is entirely optional.
